Photography in black and white is an abstraction.
Nature, obviously, is in color. By eliminating color from the equation,
I have the ability to observe my subject's more intimate form, depth, lights and shadows.
Without the distraction of the emotion of color, I feel that black and white
enables me to grasp the image more fully.
